There are Easter Eggs hunts all over New Jersey in 2011!  They are great fun for families with children!  Most allow children from babies through elementary school to participant in the actual hunt, but almost all also have many other activities, music, food and entertainment for adults and older children.  The egg hunts are usually right around Easter (obviously), often late March or early April - just click on the link to the event's website to find this year's date! There are also Easter breakfasts and brunches and Easter parades to watch! And if you would like to make your own natural organic Easter Egg dye, here's how to do it!

  • Haddonfield Y’s Men’s Easter Egg Hunt- No confirmation for 2011. If they have it, it would likely be: April 11, 2010 at 10 am. 
    Crow's Woods, Haddonfield, NJ  Also see this news page. The children will be assigned an area to collect their eggs according to age groups, and there will be prize eggs in each area. It is suggested that children taking part in the egg hunt bring their own baskets. The Easter Bunny will arrive at Crows Woods on a fire truck at 10 a.m. and will be available for picture taking with him after the egg hunt. Parking is available at Crows Woods as well as the swim club parking area on Upland Way. Participants are urged to arrive early, since parking is sometimes a problem.

Cumberland County

  • Millville Recreation Department Easter egg hunt - Saturday, April 16, 2011 at 11 am, rain or shine

Children must register from 10:30 to 10:55 a.m., and should bring a basket or a bag to collect their eggs. Parents may assist children ages 2 to 3 only. Twelve special eggs will be include in the hunt. Children who find the special eggs will receive a large Easter basket filled with goodies. Millville residency is not required for participation. Children should bring an Easter basket or plastic bag to collect their eggs.

    Columbus Park, Hoboken, NJ. Rain or shine.Two hunts, at 10 and at 11 a.m., with children split into three age groups. Open to Hoboken Family Alliance members only, but they will be accept enrollment at the event (fill out an application and pay a $40 annual fee). There is also a $5 charge per child to cover the cost of the eggs. There will also be a bake sale, an arts & crafts section and a child fingerprinting station. There will also be the HFA's weekly Special Olympics activities for children with special needs.
